Internet Marketing as a Career… Is It For You?

So when you consider the possibility of internet marketing as a part-time or full-time career, is it because you want the money or is because you want the lifestyle that accompanies it?

The reason I ask this question is this. Often people focus on money alone. When the money takes longer than they thought it should, they get discouraged and sometimes even quit. They’ll move on to the “next best thing” that really isn’t better at all. The result. They’re forever starting over and end up with no money… no change in lifestyle.

I do understand. The thought of making a lot of of money with internet marketing is great… but the purpose of the money is usually to create a better lifestyle! What I mean is this.

A successful internet marketing lifestyle results in…

An opportunity that doesn’t dictate you having to get up before the sun and report to a job that you hate…
An opportunity to decide where you live and what type of house you live in…
An opportunity to take vacations whenever and wherever you choose…
An opportunity to choose the year, make and model of car you drive without having a monthly car note.
An lastly, the chance to make the money you need for all of the extras that I didn’t mention here.

When you run a successful internet marketing business, all of these things are in your control. You might even choose to start working at 3:00 in the afternoon and stop at midnight. The thing is… it’s your option.

You might even prefer to live in a different country. (I hear Costa Rica is a really cool place…) Can you imagine having that option… just because you want to…? That’s another benefit of having a successful internet marketing business. It’s open 24/7 and isn’t limited to your local neighborhood.

Let’s think about vacations. Most people who work typical jobs get anywhere from one to three weeks of paid vacation a year. I don’t knock gainful employment at all… but that’s what “making money” will do for you. When you choose to “create a lifestyle” instead… you could take off for six months, and never miss a beat. Sound unrealistic? Yes, for most… but there are more people who live this way than you can imagine. And many of them have found this success through their internet marketing endeavors.

So… again I ask — is the thought of an internet marketing career fit your lifestyle… or the lifestyle you desire?

Here’s my point. Owning a successful online business is one of the things that will not limit any area of your life. Believe it or not, it even helps with your physical and emotional state-of-mind. When you learn how to automate and outsource some of what needs to be done for your internet marketing business, you’ll be able to set your business to continue producing income and making sales on auto-pilot. Now you have no limits at all! But here’s the most important thing you absolutely MUST understand. Your personal outcome will be 100% up to you.

Now, hopefully I haven’t painted a gloomy picture for you. The reality is… you will be able to build your internet marketing business to the point where you’ll only need to work 30 minutes to just a couple of hours a day. And yes… it is work, and it takes time at first, but it is real. All it takes is determination and consistency on your part.

What About Blogging, Internet Marketing, and an Internet Marketing Blogs?

How are they all married together?

When you think of internet marketing and internet marketing blogs, what do you think of… really?

Do you think of the possibility of seeing what you can get from everybody that visits a site that you have online? Are you looking at people as just another number? You know the deal… 50 sales a week x $47 = $2,350… multiply that by 52 weeks in a year… you have over a six-figure income… just from selling a $47 product over and over again… Really????

When I first came online, I’m almost embarrassed to say, that my mentality wasn’t too far off from that thought process. Don’t get me wrong… Yes, I’m a business woman, so I do have to know my numbers. But I had no idea of how to use internet marketing blogs.

But on the real side of working on the internet, you always want to ask yourself this simple question. What would make 50 people a week want to purchase anything from my internet marketing efforts? Ahhhh…. now we’re getting somewhere.

Every type of business blog that you can think of comes under the category of internet marketing blogs. And they can be used for multiple purposes.

To name just a few ways to use internet marketing blogs…

1. Network marketing
2. Niche blogs and websites
3. Mini blogs and websites
4. Blogs to promote CPA (Cost per action)
5. Blogs to promote network marketing products
6. Blogs to share a business opportunity
7. Blogs to build an MLM team
8. Incentivized blogs
9. Blogs to create your hub
10. Blogs to brand yourself or your product
11. Blogs to promote your offline business
12. Blogs to promote a club or organization

I could go on… and on…

All of these internet marketing blogs fit into running a business successfully online. There are no limits when it comes to using blogs in your business. You can have as many as you want, you can promote whatever you want, and you can design them however you want.

I know of several niche bloggers who have a 100 blogs in different niches and only make a few dollars a day from each. But when it adds up, they’re sitting on a gold mind… all from little, mini internet marketing blogs. That’s another topic we’ll be covering on this site.

When you start to take blogging seriously, you’ll find that as you begin to research topics like social media, content marketing and online PR, they are all somewhat intertwined with each other. Put them all together and you have the perfect combination for marketing online and using internet marketing blogs to get your story out.

Learning and mastering the ability to integrate all components of the internet should be top of your list as a marketing professional.

The main point is really simple. You just have to make sure that you have a blog, especially if your goal is to become a successful internet marketer.
