Blog Full Time
So you think you’re ready to blog full time?

You’ve started your new blog and now you want your blog to pay you a full-time salary. Congratulations!

You have already set yourself apart from most people in the world when you decided to become an entrepreneur. But did you know that out of the hundreds of blogs that show up online every day, most of them never make it past first base. So, how can you make sure that you don’t end up in that statistic?

Here’s a simple answer to that. Look at your blogging career as a complete online business, not just a blog that you write to on occasion.

If you want to blog full time, your personal mindset is what will make the difference.

When you think of becoming a full-time blogger, you have to know that there is a lot more to it than simply writing content. Every component that you see in any other type of business is also a part of what you do when you blog full time.

You need to schedule your time around the blogging tasks that you have to accomplish, you need to understand some aspects of marketing, you need to have systems in place for distributing product and accepting payment… yes, to blog full time is serious business.

If you want to know whether or not you’re actually ready to blog full time, ask yourself these simple questions.

1. Do you enjoy writing?

This is just a starting point. When you’re passionate about what you do, it’s not tedious at all. If you enjoy writing you’ll have no problem coming up with what to share with your readers and it will be very easy to blog full time.

2. Would you be willing to stop working a traditional job?

Sometimes people think they want to work for themselves, but find that they actually prefer the structure of working for someone else. It’s neither bad or good. It just depends on you. When you blog full time, there will be no one to tell you that you have to stay on that computer until the job is done. You have to be able to literally boss yourself and not slack when it gets a little tiresome. Start blogging part time and see how it goes. If you make money, even a little, at least you’ll have a better understanding of the possibilities.

3. Are you willing to learn the trade so you can blog full time?

Very often people look at blogging as though it takes nothing but to sit and type out a few good paragraphs. There is so much more to it than writing a few good short stories here and there… that is… if you truly want to blog full time, and earn the full-time pay that comes with it.

4. Are you patient?

We’ve all heard that patience is a virtue. Guess what… the same goes when you blog full time. You must have patience. Patience for what? For getting enough people visiting your blog and “buying” for it to pay off. Sometimes it seems that the start-up is pretty slow, but believe me. If you can get past the slow beginnings, the pay-off is well worth the wait. Celebrate ALL of your small successes along the way. Believe me… yourwowmoment will come!

5. Are you willing to collaborate?

Did you know that when you blog full time it can actually involve a lot of other people? The best bloggers surround themselves with “like-minded” up-coming and successful individuals. Belonging to mastermind groups, participating in joint ventures and sharing resources and information will prove to become some of your most valuable assets. Being around other motivated and inspirational people played a major role in helping me stay on-point in the earlier stages of my blogging career.

So how did you do? Are you ready?

This is by no means the it and the all of figuring out if you’re ready to blog full time, but it’s a good place to start.

Here’s my point. You really don’t need to be an expert or a technical genius if you want to blog full time. But you do need to have the determination and the stamina to stay on course every single day… just like you would if you were answering to somebody else.

After all… to get a paycheck on the 8 to 5, you can’t slack every day. It will soon catch up with you. The same goes if you want to blog full time. Even though you answer to no one, if you slack, your pay will lack!

My purpose is not to discourage you in the least, but to encourage you to go for it with all of the gusto and determination that you would if your livelihood depended on it.

If you seriously want to blog full time, find a good membership group to join. You’ll be amazed at how the support of other blogging entrepreneurs will boost your business. Plug in to a community of people who know what to do, how to do, and are willing to share it all with you.

Not sure where to start? Try My Lead System Pro or The Social Networking Academy. My membership to these organizations has done more to help me blog full time than all of the e-courses I’ve purchased combined.

If you feel strongly that you want to blog full time, take the right steps. Don’t go it alone at first. Plug in and watch what happens to your blogging career.

Understanding the Facts of Creating a Money Blog

As I start out to write this post, a lot of scenarios come to mind when it comes to making money with a blog.

Some scenarios are good… and some, not so much. So, can you really make money blogging? The answer… yes. The next question… is it easy? The answer… no–but it’s simple. There is a difference.

I don’t want to sound as though I’m trying to discourage you here. And, If I give you the real, I have to tell you that blogging and internet marketing are not the easiest deck of cards you could deal yourself. However, once you do learn the ropes, creating a money blog is one of the best things, to me, that exists to date… when it comes to making money online.

Why does creating a Money Blog appear to be so difficult?

There are a lot of new rules and regulations to blogging that… if missed, can cost you. Once you start working online, if you don’t get it right, you could hurt your reputation and kill some of the desires you may have for the future.

The most important thing I learned about creating a money blog is that there are so many variations of information on the internet. If you try to follow every piece of content that you come across, you will become thoroughly confused. That confusion can cause you to make a dead stop in your tracks… and you’ll get nothing done.

So what you need to do is check out the different methods for creating a money blog that will actually pay, then choose one and learn to master it.

Trying to become the jack of all trades will hold you back. Choose what appeals to you most, then get as much information as you possibly can on that particular topic. Whether it’s free or you have to pay, if someone is offering really good information about what you’re trying to learn, it will be well worth the cost.

I won’t go in depth here, but here is a list of the top seven ways that people create income with a money blog.

You can offer a service.

1. What are you good at? Are you a public speaker? Do you know something really well that others would like to know? Then, become a coach and teach it to others… Do you sew or design? Think of something you enjoy that others could benefit from and you’ve got a good idea for a business.

2. Do you promote a physical product that a lot of people can benefit from?

Talk about the benefits, the pluses, and the reason why people should purchase your product. Using a money blog is actually one of the best ways for network marketers to use can promote their products. MLMers can also do very well growing their teams when your blogs are able to show your prospects the reason they would want to join you.

3. Continuity programs are all the rage right now.

To simplify… continuity programs are often referred to as memberships. It’s when you have premium content that a niche of people would be willing to pay for. Normally, this content would be placed on a site or blog that only members have access to. At other times the content can be emailed to the members who pay for it. Membership sites are extremely popular because there are always new people looking for the information you are offering on your site.

4. Selling and flipping blogs.

This is a marketing tactic that is very under-rated… and the success of it is extremely under estimated. There are communities and sites online where people are actually looking for completed or even partially completed websites to purchase. People who understand the proper way to market will purchase a money blog for anywhere from hundreds to thousands of dollars. And the best part, you never run out of topics to build a new blog around.

5. Advertising.

Advertising through blogs is a never-ending topic. Sometimes it’s good stuff, and sometimes not. Even though this is not one of my favorite methods, using a money blog to sell advertising space for another business owner can become very lucrative. To work this method, your blog has to already be receiving a lot of “niche specific” traffic on a daily bases. Both online and offline business can benefit from place ads in a huge way.

6. Affiliate Marketing

This is one of the more popular methods of using a money blog. It’s almost expected that there will be places for a money blog’s visitors to purchase something pertaining to the blog’s topic.

In my opinion, affiliate marketing is by far, the easiest method of making money with a blog. You don’t have to have a product of your own, or try creating one. You simply market products that others have already created. Much like network marketing, you earn a percentage of the sale. these can be one-time purchases or residual.

Creating a good money blog is a topic that I could right books about. Actually a whole book on each one of the topics mentioned above would not be difficult to do.

The bottom line is, all of these things will work if you work them the right way.

In my newsletter, I get more in depth with some of these topics. You may or may not know what you want to do to make money online, yet. Reviewing this information with more details can definitely help you to get focused and decide if creating a money blog is right for you.

Professional Blogger
Have you given the idea of becoming a Professional Blogger Any Serious Thought?

If you are interested in becoming a professional blogger for the purpose of creating a full-time income, there are some very important tips I want to share with you.

First of all, if you’re looking for a special ‘secret’ or best way of making money, I have to tell you that there is no secret, and there are multiple ways of making money as a professional blogger. Sometimes the variety makes it even more difficult for you to to know which direction to take.

Here are some tips that can help you get started as a professional blogger.

1. Start with something that you really enjoy… something you’re passionate about and have some appreciation for.

If you want to keep your blog going for years to come, it will be much easier to write about something that you are genuinely interested in. If you don’t you’ll find that you won’t be willing to put in the work to keep your blog breathing. You’ll get bored and before long, your blog will die.

This often happens when a blog is just about money. Don’t get me wrong. There are ways to produce money as a professional blogger that will pay you over and over again. But, make your blog about something you love, and it will stick for the long term.

2. As a professional blogger, you want to make sure your blog is offering value to your readers.

Is it important to them? You’ll never make money with your blog if the things you write about don’t interest the readers you want to attract. Ask yourself this question about your blog… Do you want to build a big business or do you want to make a quick buck. If it’s a quick buck, do it with mini-sites. You’ll learn what those are later. If it’s for a big business, bring substance and information that’s useful to your audience.

3. A professional blogger has confidence in what they write about.

Again, becoming a professional blogger is much easier you blog about a topic that you know something about and that you, yourself enjoy learning more about.

As you continue to learn, you can add that value to those who follow your blog. Don’t just learn how to sell a product… learn how to sell yourself. It all begins with you. If you’re nervous or shaky about what you do, or who you are, your readers will sense that and it will make it difficult for them to follow your or your blog.

4. If your goal is to actually make money online, it doesn’t hurt to diversity a little.

Now this one might seem a little tricky, but it’s important. You need to diversify. Not so much that you’ve got too much going. That would cause you to fail at doing any of them well. Here’s where the difference comes in between blogging for fun and blogging for money. My personal example: I diversify with niche marketing, affiliate marketing, and social media. I’ve found a way to make it all work well together.

Don’t get too bogged down with diversification at the beginning. Focus on your hub… (your blog.) If that means becoming a professional blogger… focus on that alone. Then, and as you continue to learn, you’ll easily be able to flow into a variety of online income streams. Think about what you will do for a long-term investment. Yes, there are many ways to make money online, but if you want to do it as a professional.blogger, that usually happens once your foundation has been built… or once you have built relationships and credibility with your readers.

So starting out… don’t try to sell something to your readers in every post. Give value first. Give, give, give… always leads to receiving. Often, the developmental stages of anything can be difficult.

Invest enough time into your quest to become a professional blogger, you’ll find that the time and effort will absolutely pay off big!
