What About Blogging for Fun?
More often than not, when “internet marketing folks” think about blogging, the word fun hardly ever comes into play. Our focus is usually on doing all we can to drive people to one of our pages so they can either connect with us, join our business, or buy one of our products.
Did you know that there’s a whole other world of bloggers who enjoy blogging for fun… just because? While a lot of people blog for money, these blog enthusiasts are simply blogging because they enjoy the rush of it.
A lot of people who enjoy blogging for fun have found blogging to be one of their favorite past-times! Blogging happens to be an amazing way to fill up empty time and is a hobby that can actually get you paid, too. Many people use blogging as a hobby and to share all kinds of wonderful things with their friends and family.
Many people use blogging for fun as a way to reach out to people that they might not otherwise have an opportunity to connect with.
So what do people who choose blogging for fun actually blog about? Let’s look at a few of of my favorites.
Blogging For The Family
Think about this for a moment. You live in the U.S. and some of your family members live in Canada. Your loved ones aren’t able to be around you and the kids, but they’d love to be able to experience watching the kids grow up. You can use blogging for fun with a family blog. It’s one of the best ways to keep everyone abreast of the latest family happenings. Cousins, nephews and nieces, weddings, birthdays… you name it no one ever has to miss out again.
Blogging For Groups
Do you belong to a club or organization? Do you have club members that you need to share information with. Blogging for fun can be extremely helpful in this instance. You can incorporate calendars or schedules of meetings and games, updates on projects, fund-raisers, party planning, and more. Blogging for fun when it comes to groups is a great way to communicate all of the information you need to share and keep everyone in the loop. While it can be a lot of fun, it still serves a very important purpose that keeps everyone on one accord.
Blogging Major Events
If you’re planning an event like a wedding, family reunion or anniversary, you can use blogs for everything from informing everyone of what you’d like for wedding gifts to letting all of your classmates from ten years ago know exactly what’s going on with the class reunion. You can sell tickets and accept payments, share pictures, add surveys… there is just no end to the benefits that blogging for fun can have when you’re planning that all important event.

Military family and friends…
The new baby…
So if you thought blogging was just for making money, think again. Blogging for fun is a major trend in the internet world.
And I never even tapped into possibilities of all of the games and apps that can be added to your blog. Talk about having fun on a blog…? You could give people a place to “hang out” for hours.
So there is no end to the possibilities of blogging for fun.
