streaming video
One really good way to get your blog readers to trust you is by adding value through streaming video, also known as webinars.

Streaming video allows your readers get to see you live and in action, plus experience your leadership and knowledge through your on-screen demonstrations.

You don’t want to disappoint your audience, so before you start on the streaming video circuit, you want to make sure you’re completely prepared. You need to be prepared with your actual presentation as well as with the technical aspects.

A Quick Streaming Video Checklist

This checklist will help you get everything lined up before you start using streaming video to market and brand yourself.

1: Whatever Service Provide You’re Using, Make sure it’s compatible.

If you hold webinars with a lot of people attending (100 guest or more) be sure to check with your streaming video provider to make sure you’ll be able to handle that volume. The type of service you’ll need varies with the number of people you’re presenting to.

2: Prepare Your First 60 Seconds

One of the most important parts of your streaming video session is the first 60 seconds. It’s during this time that your audience decides whether they want to stay on the webinar or not. So in the first 60 seconds, let your audience know what you’re going to cover and how they’ll benefit by staying on. It’s even a good idea to practice out loud by yourself.

3: Send an Invitation to your Video Streaming Session and Follow-Up Email.

Every time you start a new webinar, you should send an invite to everyone on your list who might be interested, as well as to your social media circuit. Have this and your follow-up email prepared in advance.

If the purpose of your streaming video session is to launch a new product or introduce something majorly important, you may even want to promote it through a sales funnel. In this instance, you’ll actually write several messages intended to convert your followers to attend your webinar. Have all of these systems in place before you begin promoting.

4: Make Sure You Know How To Operate Your Streaming Video Software

If you’re new to the streaming video platform you’ll be using, make sure you’ve had a chance to test it out first. One of the worst things you can do is have an online room full of people and you’re having problems getting started. Quite often, technical issues will come up, but this should be in rare occasions and not because you don’t understand how to work the software.

You want to make sure you know how to do things like switching between screens and presentation tools. If you’re using a streaming video system that allows your participants to ask questions or communicate with you in some way, make sure you understand how it works. Don’t wait until it’s time for your webinar to try figuring these things out.

5: Test All of Your Audio and Video Devices Just Prior to Starting

Most streaming video systems will allow you to record your sessions. If you want your webinar recorded, make sure you test and understand how that works before your webinar starts, as well. And… it never hurts to have a back-up system for recording just in case.

6: Be Prepared to Answer The Most Common Questions The Pertain To Your Topic

If you’re familiar with your topic, you probably already have an idea of the types of questions your audience may ask. Be prepared to answer questions by checking your email messages. If you’re interacting with your group, you should have some questions already lined up. Another way to predict what people may want to know is by visiting related forums and other blogs. Being prepared and knowing the answers will give you the chance to shine as an well-informed authority on the topic.

Now that you have at least a general idea of what you need to conduct successful webinars with streaming video, don’t be afraid to jump in and start doing them.

Even if you don’t have a large following yet, do it anyway. Starting when your audience is small will help you perfect the process as you grow.

Basically, being able to make money conduct webinars with streaming video can be summed up in 3 steps:

1. Find the audience

2. Deliver the presentation

3. Follow up, upsell and repeat all the 3 steps!

Webinars can mean the big break you’ve been looking for as a blogger and sharer of quality information. Using streaming video could mean mean adding an extra couple of digits to your current income, so don’t ignore this major online marketing tactic.
