Do You Really Need to learn How to Blog to Succeed Online… Really?

Whether or not a blog is something you really need can only be answered by you. My guess is… since you’ve found this page, having your own blog is probably something that could be beneficial to your life in some way. But before you get into learning how to blog, you should ask your a few question…

  • Why do I want to learn how to blog?
  • Who will read my blog and for what purpose?
  • Who will my blog help and how?
  • What’s the goal of my blog?

Well let’s talk about it…

Who are some of the people who actually blog these days. The answer: You name it, somebody’s blogging about it. Just to give you a general idea, look who’s blogging now…

Churches, schools, clubs, families, restaurants, department stores, hair salon’s, people who sell things, people who own pets, people who want to sell things to people who own pets… In reality, I could make list of tens of thousands, and still wouldn’t cover every type of person who blogs.

But let’s say that you’re a person who either owns a business or you’re thinking about starting a business. These days, large business or small… offline or on… it’s just expected that you will have some sort of web presence.

Yes… even the neighborhood baker needs to know how to blog! (or hire someone who does…)

If you’re in business, people don’t ask if you have a website any more. The question becomes, what is your web address? If you don’t have one, it’s almost a shocker!

Business owners don’t need blogs just for the sake of selling their wares. Many people use the internet to find out more about you before they decide to do business with you.

Once you learn how to blog, you’ll have a whole new window of opportunity that will give you the chance to interact with the rest of the world. Not only can you put your best foot forward and share with your audience what you have to offer, but it gives your customer a chance to share with others how great your products and services are and brag on you a little… that is if your products are something they can brag about. :-)

Besides having a platform to stay connected with your prospects and current customers, having a blog is the best way to find and connect with new ones.

What are some of the benefits of learning how to blog.

Once you really get it, you’ll able to do things like…

  • regularly share information and resources to a group of people who are hungry for answers
  • get instant feedback from people who either do business with you or could possibly engage with you in the future
  • keep your business partners, clients and customers, friends, family, and team members up-to-date on all they need to know
  • distribute your content more widely to the larger business community online
