Here Are My Personal Favorites ‘Must Haves’ for Successful Blogging and Internet Marketing

I don’t use this page as a sales page for affiliate products. While I do receive an affiliate commission for referring people to most of these products, I take this page very seriously because the only things you will find here are tools that I personally use and highly recommend.

These tools, to me, are among the best in their class and eventually, I will include videos of how I personally use each item listed here.

DOMAIN NAME

One of the first things you need to get is your own domain name. This will allow you to start branding you or your blog. While there are many domain services out there… and most of them are pretty good, I recommend GoDaddy because of the excellent customer service they offer. If you need help with setting up anything at all, they have a phone number you can call for assistance.

WEB HOSTING

Having a self-hosted website or blog is not an option if you want to succeed online. There are many places where you can get free hosting, but that is never recommended. When you’re not hosting your own domain, not only do you not have full control of your blog, but you are actually advertising the domain of someone else rather than yours… even if you “redirect”. Also, the limitations that you have will definitely be a major draw-back to the flexibility that you have. Any serious online marketer will have their own hosting. HostGator is another service that offers round-the-clock assistance if you you need help with anything.

AUTO RESPONDER

Using an auto-responder is a necessity if you want to continue building a good relationship with your blog visitors. Aweber allows you to continue to send messages of your new products or service, send ongoing newsletters and offer more information to your list. You’ve heard the saying before ‘the money is in the list’. Well… that is so true. But you can have a list and do nothing with it and you’ll get nowhere fast. Using an auto-responder is a definite must for your online business. Aweber is a solid company that’s been around for many years. It’s one that most people are familiar with and it’s easy to use.

AUTOMATIC BACKLINK CREATOR

Getting traffic to your blog is what will make you money. The best way to get traffic is to rank high in the search engines for your targeted keywords.
